Felt
Our recycled textile felt ( i-felt and you-felt ) is approximately 2.5 mm thick. Our wool felt is approximately 4 mm thick.
The felt is available in the following widths: 70, 90, 110, 140, and 180 cm. You can order from 10 meters. A roll of felt is 35 meters long.
Orders of less than 10 meters of felt will be discussed.
Our recycled textile felt is currently available in sixteen colors. You can find them on the i-felt page . Our wool felt is available in a single color. You can also customize your own company textiles into a unique felt: you-felt .
Yes, you can order a sample set from us by email . This way, you can preview the colors and textures. A complete sample set costs €15 excluding VAT and shipping. For individual samples, you only pay shipping.
i-did collaborates with various textile suppliers, and sorting textiles by color is certainly possible. However, this is only feasible for very large quantities, as the process is time-consuming. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Yes, that's possible! For more information, please contact sales@i-did.nl .
Yes, our felt is versatile and suitable for various applications. It is:
- Suitable as a wall covering; use a strong wallpaper paste and follow the instructions. Keep in mind that felt is heavier than paper wallpaper. Additional fixing is often required on slanted walls, and a primer is usually required on absorbent or soft walls.
- Suitable as a fabric for making consumer goods and decorations
- Suitable for window coverings (i-felt/you-felt is suitable, wool felt is not)
- Suitable for furniture upholstery, not suitable for upholstery of a seat.
- Cutting with a sharp knife or laser, cutting with fabric scissors; sewing and punching possible
Yes, we encourage the reuse and recycling of textiles. You can put felt and lifestyle products made of felt in the textile recycling bin. For interior products, it may be better to disassemble them first and recycle them in parts.
We are still working on a way to take back products and recycle them into new products.
Yes, that's possible. We do this regularly ourselves. It makes the felt even.
We recommend first trying to remove the stain with a damp cloth. If that doesn't work, you can wash the felt or felt product. It's best to do this by hand. If you do want to use the washing machine, choose a short, cold wash and avoid a spin cycle.
Please note: More frequent washing may weaken the felt.
Tip: Lay flat to dry to prevent warping.
No, that's not possible. We work with a closed loop.
If you choose a you-felt process, you can, of course, donate textiles. We'll discuss with you exactly how much textile is needed to produce the final product.

The installation of interior products is not part of our service.
Customization & production
We prefer not to do large-scale custom work. If you do want to, phase 1 of a custom product can start with 8 hours at €100 per hour . This includes digitally developing the pattern, laser cutting, creating a sample, and calculating the cost price. Additional adjustments are billed per hour.
No, we don't. Any conditions can be discussed in consultation.
We prefer not to recommend customized collaborations, but for specific requests we discuss the options in phase 1 (see above).
This depends on the project. For an estimate, please contact sales@i-did.nl .
Social & societal
This is done via the municipality of The Hague.
By purchasing products, collaborating, or highlighting i-did's mission in the media. We also thrive on word-of-mouth advertising, which has already resulted in some fantastic projects.
No, but you're very welcome to sponsor i-did. 😉
