Felt on a roll projects
From textiles to felt: circular projects with impact
Together with partners, we give worn-out workwear and residual textiles a second life as felt. This felt is then incorporated into new products or interior design applications. These projects demonstrate the power of collaboration: less textile waste, increased circular value, and employment for people who have not worked for a long time, or never.
Showcase: BPD Eindhoven
Odette Ex of EX Interiors created an inspiring and forward-thinking office for BPD in the Melkfabriek building in Eindhoven. With a design that prioritizes sustainability, circularity, and well-being, this project demonstrates how industrial heritage and modern workplace enjoyment can go hand in hand.
We are incredibly proud that i-did contributed over 700 m² of felt in the Defence Desert color, used in acoustic panels and walls by i-did interior designers. The felt enhances the office's comfort and warm atmosphere and perfectly aligns with BPD and Odette Ex's circular vision.
