Our felt colours

i-felt is felt made from recycled textiles. At the i-did Factory in The Hague, i-felt is made from worn-out (work) clothing and textile surpluses. Textiles that would otherwise be burned or end up on a textile mountain. You'll recognize the discarded uniforms from companies like the Ministry of Defence and KLM.

The i-felt collection currently consists of sixteen permanent colors. These colors are available in unlimited quantities, making them ideal for large projects that won't be starting for some time.

Because i-did collaborates with various Dutch textile collectors, our i-felt can be produced repeatedly. This makes i-felt perfect for your own permanent collection or when you want to purchase the same products again and again.

Sustainable & social impact

With i-felt products, you're making not only a sustainable impact but also a social impact. With every bag or acoustic panel you purchase, you contribute to a better world. For example, per m² of felt made from recycled textiles, you save approximately 0.33 kg of textile, 414 L of water, and 3.5 kg of CO₂.

The i-felt collection currently consists of sixteen permanent i-felt colors and one wool felt color. So there's always a color to match your branding.

At i-did it is also possible to recycle your own company textiles into unique felt.

We stock many lifestyle products in our i-felt colors. These are products available for immediate delivery. Our acoustic solutions are also available in i-felt.

From KLM clothing

Felt with flying hours

In 2015, KLM gave its old workwear a new purpose by fiberizing it. A total of 60 tons of KLM fibers were ready for processing at Frankenhuis. An unprecedented opportunity for i-did! We got to work with the fibers and transformed them into felt: KLM Sky Blue was born.

KLM Sky Blue remains one of our best-selling colors. We now make this beautiful felt ourselves in our factory in The Hague. All our products can be ordered in this color.

Features of i-felt at a glance

Thickness & dimensions

Our i-felt has an average thickness of ±2.5 mm and can be supplied on rolls in widths of 70, 90, 110, 140 and 180 cm , suitable for various applications.

Fire retardancy

The i-felt can be flame-retardant impregnated with two different agents, depending on the quantity. Contact us for more information.

Innovation

Thanks to our own factory, we at i-did can experiment extensively. This leads to the creation of new felt types such as wool felt, jute, and wearable fabric.

Edits

The i-felt is processed into high-quality products in our workshop, but can also be used directly on the wall as wall covering .

Our i-felt, made from recycled textiles, was recently added to Eijffinger's wallcovering collection. The FELT collection is available through the Eijffinger website and various online and offline retailers.

Thanks to this partnership, our felt wall covering is also available to consumers. The i-felt wallpaper is available from 1 meter (90 cm wide) through Eijffinger under the name FELT.
