Sustainable impact felt
Because our felt is made from recycled textiles, you not only save materials, but also water and CO₂.
- Textile savings : Discarded textiles are often burned or end up on the textile mountain. By making felt from them, they get a second life. Per m² of felt, you save approximately 0.31 kg of textile.
- Water savings : 1 kg of cotton requires approximately 10,000 liters of water. Because i-did uses recycled materials, the production of 1 m² of felt saves approximately 414 liters of water (source: Made Blue ).
- CO₂ savings : Cotton processing and dyeing produces approximately 10 kg of CO₂ per kg of cotton. Burning clothing also produces CO₂ emissions. Every year, 48 million tons of clothing are thrown away worldwide, 73% of which is burned or dumped (source: Ellen MacArthur Foundation ). Recycling textiles saves approximately 3.5 kg of CO₂ per m² of felt.
