The inspiration for Paul Noordijk (interior designer) was Japanese manga. A spherical core that allows the design to breathe. The different materials and colors give the elements layering and depth, as does the diverse wallpaper in the various rooms. The IKEA co-worker felt is the spherical element in the living room.

Circular design Firma van Buiten - Studio Kley

In the Firma van Buiten building, a single type of wood serves as the unifying element for the entire interior. The dark brown wood forms the framework within which secondhand furniture and reclaimed materials form the core. This is also true for the chairs—wooden, robust—covered with seat cushions and backrests made of recycled felt in Efteling Fairy Blue.

Uppr places helps you find sustainable spaces for working, meeting, and socializing. This is also the case at Buitenplaats Maartensdijk, an inspiring meeting location with five unique spaces.

For one of the spaces, Hella van Zijtveld (location manager) sought a solution to improve the acoustics: "We succeeded with the acoustic islands. Sustainability and circularity are also high priorities for us. This aligns perfectly with i-did's mission to produce interiors exclusively with recycled materials and felt."
