Last Saturday, all 3,000 Efteling employees received a special gift: a felt bunting made from their own discarded work clothes. In our i-did Factory, we gave the fabrics a second life : a bit of magic in textile form. Because we don't dye them, the original, recognizable Efteling colors are preserved. We created a unique bunting from the four colors of felt in our workshop. Holle Bolle Gijs explains how in the video below:
Recycling of Efteling workwear
Every week, 90 kilos of Efteling clothing are collected for recycling into felt at our factory in The Hague. This is clothing that is no longer usable in its current form. We've been collaborating since 2018, and at that time, we processed 20,720 kilos of Efteling textiles.
A festive bunting made of recycled felt
" Especially for our 73rd anniversary, a festive bunting was made from Efteling felt in the colors of our company clothing: blue, white, and orange. Thanks to our partnership with i-did, this textile gets a second life in the form of colorful Efteling felt!" said Efteling.
We are proud of this long-term partnership, which allows us to contribute to Efteling's sustainable dream: 0% residual waste by 2030.
