Last Saturday, all 3,000 Efteling employees received a special gift: a felt banner set made from their own retired company clothing. In our i-did Factory, we gave the fabrics a second life: a little magic in textile form. Because we do not dye, the original, recognizable Efteling colors are preserved. In our workshop, we made a unique banner set from the four colors of felt. Holle Bolle Gijs tells you how in the video below:
Recycling Efteling company clothing
90 kilos of Efteling clothing are collected every week to be recycled into felt at our factory in The Hague. This clothing is no longer usable in its current form. We have been working together since 2018 and at that time we processed 20,720 kilos of Efteling textiles.
A festive banner set made from recycled felt
‘’A festive banner set in the colors of our company clothing—blue, white, and orange—was made from Efteling felt especially for our 73rd anniversary. Thanks to our collaboration with i-did, this textile is getting a second life in the form of colorful Efteling felt!’’ says Efteling.
