Eijffinger is a renowned Dutch brand that has been known for decades for its distinct wallcoverings, craftsmanship, and eye for detail. Their collections are used worldwide in homes, projects, and interiors.
For the FELT wallcovering collection, Eijffinger is collaborating with i-did. As a basis for this collection, Eijffinger uses our i-felt, made in our own factory in The Hague.
Our role: i-felt as a base
The FELT wallcovering collection by Eijffinger consists of our i-felt: felt made from recycled textiles. It involves existing i-felt colors that we have been producing for some time, made from sources including old corporate clothing from KLM and the Ministry of Defence, and post-consumer textiles carefully sorted by color.
Reprocessing these textile streams into felt creates heathered colors with their own unique character. i-felt was already being used as wallcovering in commercial interior projects. With Eijffinger's FELT collection, the material is now also accessible to consumers and gains a wider reach within the interior design market through Eijffinger.
From material to wallcovering
The felt is produced at i-did by people who have not worked for a long time or at all, and who are given the opportunity to gain work experience and develop themselves with us. Eijffinger has subsequently translated this material into the FELT wallcovering collection, suitable for both homes and projects.
In this way, recycled material, social production, and a new interior application come together in one collection.
Why felt as wallcovering?
Felt gives a wall a soft, tactile appearance and adds visible texture to a room. Furthermore, the heathered colors of i-felt give the wall a different character than a smooth wall finish.
But FELT does more than improve the look of a room! Eijffinger has had the wallcovering acoustically tested. The material achieved a sound absorption value of αw 0.6 (± 0.05), class C according to ISO 11654. The final acoustic effect can vary per room and depends on factors such as the surface and installation.

What does FELT look like in an interior? In April 2026, the wallcovering was featured in vtwonen: weer verliefd op je huis. Stylist Fietje chose Sandstone Beige for the dining and living area. The felt on the wall provides warmth, softness, and unity in the space.
FELT for your home
i-felt has long been available at i-did for commercial interior projects. Thanks to the partnership with Eijffinger, the material is now also easily accessible to consumers as wallcovering. The FELT collection is available through Eijffinger and affiliated retailers, where you can view the different colors.
FELT is available by the meter, starting at 1 meter, and has a width of 90 cm.
What this means for us
The fact that brands like Eijffinger and Ahrend choose our i-felt is, for us, confirmation that textile reuse works in high-quality applications. Not as an experiment, but as a permanent part of an assortment. For us, that is exactly what i-did stands for: creating materials that are right in quality, appearance, and impact.
