Hooray! KLM celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019, and that deserved a celebration, and with a celebration comes presents. We've enjoyed a wonderful partnership with KLM, and we'd love to tell you more about it in this blog post.

How it started
In February 2019, two women from KLM visited us in The Hague. They were responsible for the entire KLM 100-year collection and were curious about what we could do for them. They found i-did because one of them had a bag made from our recycled felt. She thought, "How cool would it be if we could make this with our old uniforms?" They didn't know that we had already had our Sky Blue felt in our collection for a while . Sodexo, their clothing supplier, pointed this out to them, and that's how the ball started rolling.

The Limited Sky Blue collection
We then started considering which products would best fit this collection. We ultimately chose the Mireille, Ramzia, Kim, and Saida. These are true classics in our product line. The characteristic blue felt color speaks volumes, and together with the orange accent, the royal feel is evident. To give them that personal branding, we sewed a unique KLM label onto the products. In addition, all products included a text label with information about the collection's origins. This Limited Sky Blue collection was available for order at the KLM shop.
KLM Sky Blue felt has been a permanent color in our i-felt collection ever since. If you see any possibilities for using this felt color, please contact us.
KLM's birthday
The big day had arrived! For this special day, we made felt houses and gave them to all KLM travelers who flew with KLM on their birthday. Each one came with a note explaining what the house was made of and who made it. A unique gift for all the travelers that day!

Our social model is our raison d'être. We were therefore eager to share this with KLM and their partners. We produced and sold the products on-site at various KLM events. For example, there was a KLM 100 Years Museum in a tent at KLM Open, where our participants were producing the collection on-site. We also attended the KLM Experience in a large hangar. This lasted several days, and each day was dedicated to a different target group. In this unique way, we introduced KLM and their partners to our social model, which we are so proud of!
